The new site was constructed in the vicinity of the old one, further solidifying Altenburg's legacy as a prominent hub for card and board games. This investment in Altenburg underscores its significance as a key location for Cartamundi Group. Examples of this include a comprehensive package of measures to protect the environment and species (re-use of water, photovoltaic systems and compensation areas for trees etc.). These efforts have been recognized by a Platinum certification of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
