Altenburg, 5 September 2023 - The Spielkartenfabrik officially opened its new production site in Altenburg, Germany, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an informal gathering for all plant employees. The new site was constructed in the vicinity of the old one, further solidifying Altenburg's legacy as a prominent hub for card and board games. This investment in Altenburg underscores its significance as a key location for Cartamundi Group. The site is known for its reliability and quality, making it a trusted partner for customers across Europe.

Examples of this include a comprehensive package of measures to protect the environment and species (re-use of water, photovoltaic systems and compensation areas for trees etc.). These efforts have been recognized by a Platinum certification of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
