Director, Global Retail Excellence
The Director, Global Retail Excellence is responsible for building and embedding a world-class commercial operating system that accelerates profitable growth across retail channels globally. The role drives excellence in customer planning, channel strategy, commercial capabilities, revenue growth management, CRM, and best-practice deployment. Working across regions, the Director ensures consistent execution with major retailers, specialty accounts, customers, and emerging channels while enabling local teams to win in their markets.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish global standards for Joint Business Planning, account management, customer segmentation, commercial reviews, and execution excellence.
- Own CRM governance, commercial analytics, customer dashboards, and performance reporting standards.
- Lead the Commercial Excellence Academy and capability-building programs across all regions.
- Own the Global Retail Commercial Excellence agenda and roadmap.
- Develop channel playbooks for mass retail, specialty retail, travel retail, hospitality, cruise, museum, lifestyle, and other growth channels.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Strategy to improve revenue growth management, trade investment effectiveness, and customer profitability.
- Identify, codify, and scale best practices globally.

Critical Experience
- 10+ years in commercial leadership, sales excellence, customer development, category management, or revenue growth management.
- Experience working with major retail customers such as Walmart, Target, Costco or European equivalents such as REWE, Tesco or Auchan an specialty retail partners.
- Experience building commercial processes, playbooks, and capability programs at scale.
- Strong analytical, financial, and customer-management skills.
- Experience operating in a global and highly matrixed organization.
