Your function:

As the Group IT Governance Manager, you own the way our Group IT department, known internally as Process and Data Technology, is organized, managed and controlled. You will be based at our Group Headquarters in Turnhout, Belgium, report to the VP Process and Data Technology, and travel only occasionally.

You define and continuously improve the governance framework for the department: governance principles, decision rights, roles and accountabilities, key IT management processes, internal procedures and the IT function house. You also set the project governance approach for Group IT initiatives, from intake and prioritization through status reporting, decision forums and escalation, and you maintain an integrated view of the project portfolio so leadership has visibility on scope, risks, resources and progress.

Together with internal control, compliance, procurement and finance, you coordinate the lifecycle of IT-related policies, monitor how they are applied, and support budget follow-up and cost transparency. Throughout, your focus is on translating governance into ways of working that teams recognise and apply in their daily work.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT governance, IT or portfolio management, project governance or internal control, ideally in a complex international organization.
  • Strong understanding of how IT organizations operate: roles, accountabilities, decision forums and management processes.
  • Proven track record of building governance frameworks, policies and procedures that teams genuinely adopt.
  • Experience in project and portfolio governance, combined with the financial discipline to support budget follow-up, cost transparency and audit readiness.
  • Structured, pragmatic communicator, able to challenge constructively, create alignment and follow up on commitments across teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages, and exposure to ERP, BI, data platforms or IT service management, are an advantage.

Our offer:

  • A visible role at the heart of the Process and Data Technology operating model, with clear ownership of how Group IT is governed
  • The opportunity to shape how a global IT function is organized, managed and improved
  • Close collaboration with IT leadership, finance, procurement, internal control and business stakeholders
  • A values-driven, family-owned company with a long-term, responsible business mindset
  • Competitive compensation, strong benefits and real opportunities for professional growth
