Group Data & Process Governance Manager

Cartamundi is undergoing a major digital and business transformation, and we’re building our Group-wide Process & Data Governance capability from the ground up.

We’re looking for a hands-on Process & Data Governance Manager who will not only define frameworks but actively support & coach the business & the teams during implementation and drive real adoption on the ground.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of transformation — combining strategy, project management, execution, coaching and training. You will work closely with business and IT teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and personally guide teams through process and data governance rollouts to ensure sustainable change & transformation.

You will be regarded as an expert and will serve as an individual contributor. This position will be located at our Group Head Quarters in Turnhout, Belgium and expected to travel up to 10%.

Your function:

Group Process & Data Framework Ownership

  • You define and continuously evolve Cartamundi’s Group-wide process and data governance frameworks. This includes:
  • Establishing clear process standards (such as taxonomy, BPMN modelling, and documentation practices) as well as robust data governance principles.
  • You ensure a pragmatic exception framework is in place, balancing consistency and operational reality.
  • Crucially, you translate these frameworks into practical, usable approaches and support teams in applying them in their day-to-day work.

Transformation Execution & Hands-on Rollout

  • You actively support business teams during Business transformation phases, guiding them through process design, governance setup and adoption challenges.
  • You coach Process Owners, Data Owners and operational teams on how to apply governance principles in real scenarios.
  • You break down large transformation initiatives into actionable steps, ensuring quick wins and tangible progress.
  • You act as a hands-on change agent, resolving bottlenecks, facilitating workshops, and driving momentum across initiatives.

Governance Cadence & Initiative Coordination

  • You will lead the governance cadence for process and data across the Group by setting up and running effective governance forums and decision-making structures.
  • In parallel, you maintain a consolidated roadmap of process & data initiatives, ensuring prioritization, alignment and delivery tracking.
  • You act as a central coordination and escalation point, ensuring initiatives move forward effectively across the organization.

Repository Ownership & Quality Management

  • You own and optimize process and data repositories as the single source of truth.
  • You ensure high-quality, consistent and up-to-date artefacts are maintained, supported by the right tools for process modelling and data governance.
  • You monitor quality and actively intervene with teams to improve completeness, consistency and adherence.

Coaching, Enablement & Matrix Leadership

  • You train, coach and support a global network of Process Owners, Process Subject Matter experts, and Process Modellers., ensuring sustainable adoption.
  • You operate in a matrix environment, driving alignment without direct authority.
  • You act as a change catalyst, supporting process owners and business teams during business transformations and process standardizations.

Stakeholder Alignment & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • You ensure strong alignment across business, IT, data and enterprise architecture.
  • You collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. internal coaches, EHS, business leads, sponsors).
  • You engage senior leadership while staying deeply connected to operational reality.

Your profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in business transformation, process improvement, and data governance, ideally in complex, international environments or business transformation roles
  • Strong expertise in process methodologies and process governance
  • Proven track record of hands-on implementation, not only framework design
  • Experience coaching teams and supporting adoption during transformation rollouts
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical actions and support teams on the ground
  • Experience working across business and IT environments
  • Strong project/program management skills, with the ability to drive execution across multiple initiatives
  • Experience building governance structures from scratch.
  • Experience working with process and/or data governance tools (e.g. Signavio or Ardoq is a plus)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including senior leadership exposure (VP/ExCo level)
  • Pragmatic, structured and impact-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience working within or alongside an Enterprise Architecture function.
    • Exposure to ERP, BI and data platforms
    • Experience working in matrix organizations and collaborating with global teams

Our offer:

At Cartamundi, you’ll join a global organization in full transformation mode, where process and data are key enablers of future success. We offer:

  • A visible, high-impact role with Group-wide scope
  • The opportunity to build governance structures and standards from the ground up
  • Close collaboration with senior stakeholders across business, IT and data
  • An international and dynamic working environment
  • Strong focus on learning, growth and continuous improvement
  • A competitive salary and benefits package
