Group Data & Process Governance Manager

Cartamundi is undergoing a major digital and business transformation, and we’re building our Group-wide Process & Data Governance capability from the ground up.

We’re looking for a Group Process & Data Governance Manager to shape how processes and data are defined, governed and adopted across the organization.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of transformation — working across business and IT, influencing senior stakeholders and enabling scalable, consistent ways of working. This position will be located at our Group Head Quarters in Turnhout, Belgium and the incumbent will be expected to travel up to 10%

Your function:

Group Process & Data Framework Ownership

  • You will define and continuously evolve Cartamundi’s Group-wide process and data governance frameworks. This includes:
  • Establishing clear process standards (such as taxonomy, BPMN modelling, and documentation practices) as well as robust data governance principles covering metadata, master data, data quality and lineage.
  • You will also ensure a pragmatic exception framework is in place, balancing consistency with flexibility across the organization.

Governance Cadence & Initiative Coordination

  • You will lead the governance cadence for process and data across the Group by setting up and running effective governance forums and decision-making structures.
  • In parallel, you will maintain a consolidated roadmap of Process & Data related initiatives aligned with business priorities, ensuring clear prioritization, coordination across domains, and structured tracking of progress, risks and adoption, while acting as a key escalation and alignment point for stakeholders.

Repository Ownership & Quality Management

  • You will own and optimize process and data repositories as the single source of truth, defining their structure, governance, access and usage.
  • You will ensure that high-quality, consistent and up-to-date artefacts are maintained, supported by the right tools for process modelling and data governance.
  • Through quality assurance practices, you will monitor completeness, consistency and adherence to standards across all domains.

Stakeholder Enablement & Adoption

  • You will drive adoption of process and data governance practices by onboarding and supporting Process Owners, Data Owners and Stewards across the organization. Through training, coaching and clear guidance materials, you will enable teams to apply standards effectively in their daily work.
  • Acting as a bridge between business, IT and Enterprise Architecture, you will foster alignment and embed scalable, consistent ways of working across the Group.

Your profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in process governance, data governance or business transformation roles in complex, international environments
  • Strong expertise in process governance (BPMN, process modelling) and data governance (e.g. metadata, data quality, lineage, master data)
  • Proven experience with governance frameworks, standards and operating models at enterprise level
  • Background in large-scale transformation environments (e.g. digital, ERP, operating model transformation)
  • Ability to effectively bridge business, IT, data and architecture, ensuring alignment across domains
  • Experience working with process and/or data governance tools (e.g. Signavio or Ardoq is a plus)
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including senior leadership (VP/ExCo level)
  • Pragmatic, structured and outcome-driven mindset, with a strong focus on adoption and impact
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience working within or alongside an Enterprise Architecture function
    • Exposure to ERP, BI and data platforms
    • Experience building governance structures from scratch

Our offer:

At Cartamundi, you’ll join a global organization in full transformation mode, where process and data are key enablers of future success. We offer:

  • A visible, high-impact role with Group-wide scope
  • The opportunity to build governance structures and standards from the ground up
  • Close collaboration with senior stakeholders across business, IT and data
  • An international and dynamic working environment
  • Strong focus on learning, growth and continuous improvement
  • A competitive salary and benefits package
