As our Global Printing Technology Expert, you will be the driving force behind colour accuracy, print innovation, and process consistency across our worldwide network. Based in Europe or the Americas and reporting to the Vice President Industrial Innovation & R&D, you will collaborate with talented teams across continents and guide the adoption of cutting‑edge printing technologies.
If you thrive in a hands‑on, international environment and love pushing the boundaries of print quality, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a global impact.
Expect a dynamic mix of innovation, problem‑solving, and travel — up to 50–60% — as you collaborate with our sites and partners around the world. You will have a globally visible expert role with direct exposure to leadership, production sites, and suppliers worldwide – travel is integral to influence, not oversight alone.
Your function:
In this global expert role, you will champion print quality, colour consistency, and technological advancement across all Cartamundi production sites and supplier networks.
- Drive innovation: Scout emerging print, ink, coating, and finishing technologies. Lead trials, benchmarking, and validation, and build strong business cases for global implementation.
- Standardize print processes: Develop global specifications, tolerances, and SOPs aligned with ISO 12647, Fogra, and G7. Drive adoption of consistent workflows, measurement systems, and quality control tools.
- Lead global printing: Define and maintain operating standards, reduce downtime and waste. Collaborate in creation of color management ICC profiles, calibration routines, and process controls for offset and digital printing. Ensure flawless colour reproduction across sites, substrates, and technologies.
- Collaborate across functions: You will operate within a strong global network of site engineers, R&D specialists, and quality teams, enabling local ownership with central expertise. You will ensure print feasibility, equipment selection, and seamless technology deployment.
- Manage suppliers & partners: Lead expert-level assessments and audits, acting as Cartamundi’s authority on printing equipment.
Your profile:
You are a print technology enthusiast with a deep understanding of colour, precision, and process excellence. You enjoy being on the ground internationally, solving complex challenges where impact is immediate and visible.
You are comfortable acting as a global expert model, balancing filed presence with strategic standard-setting. You will also bring:
- You have solid, relevant experience (typically 5+ years) and strong expertise in offset and digital printing, ideally in packaging, gaming, or high‑fidelity print environments.
- Solid knowledge of colour science, ICC profiling, calibration, and process control systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 12647, Fogra, G7, and other industry benchmarks.
- Experience leading technology trials, process optimization, and global standardization initiatives.
- A hands‑on, analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex print and colour issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and train teams across cultures.
- Willingness to travel globally up to 50–60%.
Our offer:
- A high‑visibility global role where your expertise directly shapes Cartamundi’s print quality and innovation strategy.
- The chance to work with passionate experts in engineering, R&D, and manufacturing across multiple continents.
- Opportunities to explore and implement the latest printing technologies in a fast‑evolving industry.
- A collaborative, international environment where your ideas and leadership truly matter.
- Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with your experience and global responsibilities.
- The satisfaction of contributing to products enjoyed by millions of players and collectors worldwide.
