Project Engineer Global R&D

Do you want to contribute to the future of production automation and innovative machine building? As a Project Engineer Global R&D, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of advanced machines, automation, and technologies within the global Cartamundi group. From our Global R&D Center, you will collaborate with machine builders, specialists, and integrators to create innovative and efficient solutions. With your expertise and hands-on mentality, you will help optimize our production processes.

Your function:

Development and Implementation of Technologies

  • Identifying automation and optimization opportunities within production processes.
  • Designing and developing new machines and automation solutions.
  • Collaborating with machine builders, integrators, and internal specialists to successfully implement technological innovations.
  • Develop proof of concepts and work on feasibility studies.
  • Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of machines, processes, and technologies.

Project Management and Collaboration

  • Lead and contribute to projects ensuring efficient execution within set deadlines and budgets.
  • Working with international colleagues to implement solutions worldwide.
  • Coordinating collaborations with external partners and suppliers.

Innovation and Strategic Development

  • Proactively seeking innovative technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Maintaining and expanding a network of technological partners and suppliers.

Your profile:

  • You have an engineering degree or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and thinking at a master’s level
  • Experience in a production environment or machine building.
  • You have expertise in mechanics, electrical, robotics, PLC programming and vision technology.
  • You have strong analytical skills.
  • You would describe yourself as entrepreneurial, a strong communicator, helpful, and a true problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • You have a good command of English.
  • You are willing to travel internationally.
