BI Developer & Administrator

We are looking for an Azure and Power BI Developer to join our Global BI Team. In this role, you will report to the Global BI Manager and work closely with the rest of the team to maintain and expand our Azure-based data warehouse. You will be responsible for gathering data from various sources and visualizing this data using Power BI.

Your function:

• Azure Environment: Design and maintain a two-tier Azure environment, using feature branches and DevOps pipelines for automated deployment
• Data Integration: Design and maintain Synapse pipelines to load and transform data from the data lake into the Azure SQL environment.
• External Data Sources: Establish connections to new external data sources outside Azure using standard and custom connectors.
• Data Warehouse: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the data warehouse architecture.
• Security: Contribute to refining the security model for Azure and Power BI, based on Windows Active Directory.
• Power BI Dashboards: Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for data analysis and reporting.

Your profile:

• You have 2 years of experience in extracting, loading, and transforming data in a multi-tier Azure environment
• You have 2 years of experience in creating complex Power BI dashboards
• A strong proficiency in SQL and database management concepts
• Knowledge of IT networks and infrastructure required to support a cloud-based Azure data warehouse
• You are familiar with SAP HANA, Analysis for Office and Webi are a plus, as well as an understanding of SAP ERP concepts
• You have a proactive and hands-on approach to getting things done and the ability to lead projects independently
• You are a team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to two weeks per year)
