Global Insights Lead

Position Overview:
Cartamundi is seeking a dynamic Global Insights Lead to join our team. Reporting directly to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, the Global Insights Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our brands through data-driven insights and analysis. The core work is to identify and activate growth opportunities for the strategic brands among the key user communities, in the main markets across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics, coupled with a proven track record of success in insights generation and brand management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Health Tracking: Develop and implement brand health tracking systems to monitor and measure brand performance metrics across global markets, providing actionable insights to drive brand strategy.

  2. Globalization of Strategic Brands: Help lead the globalization efforts of strategic brands, ensuring consistent brand positioning and messaging while adapting to local market nuances and preferences.

  3. Insights Generation: Utilize a combination of primary and secondary research methodologies to generate actionable insights into consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  4. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends, translating findings into actionable recommendations for brand strategy and marketing initiatives. This includes translating shopper and retail market intelligence into clear and actionable business recommendations that drive measurable impact.

  5. Communication and Storytelling: Translate complex inputs from ad-hoc research, brand health, and sales trackers into simple yet compelling stories that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales, and operations, to integrate insights into business strategies and initiatives.

  7. Brand Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of brand strategies and marketing plans based on insights gathered, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  8. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing teams, agencies, and research partners, to drive alignment and execution of brand strategies.

  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in insights generation and brand management, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, market research, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in insights generation, strategic brand management, or related roles, preferably within the entertainment or consumer products industry.
  • Proven track record of success in setting up brand health trackers, globalizing strategic brands, and driving brand performance.
  • Proven experience with shopper and retail market intelligence data from suppliers like Circana, driving strategic insights and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively, and to tell compelling stories.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in market research tools and software.
  • Experience with Performance Marketing and DTC environments is a strong plus
