Strategic Buyer and Sourcing Analyst

Your role:

We are looking for a motivated Strategic Buyer and Sourcing Analyst to join the global team. As Strategic Buyer and Sourcing Analyst, you will be responsible to build analysis and use the data to create and execute cost-efficient procurement operational plans and strategies. You will also be responsible to drive procurement initiatives for indirect spend to make sure that we optimize sourcing for this category on group level.

This role is ideal for someone with a high level of analytic and project management ability who has a background in Procurement, Sales or Supply Chain.

More specifically, the tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Create and/or apply tools and processes to record and maintain master data. Improve tools and processes to increase procurement overall efficiency.
  • Transform spend data or large databases into key insights and opportunities to decrease expenditure.
  • Analyze mid and long-term views/market trends and develop know-how and strategies, build new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources or solutions.
  • Make recommendations from the analysis and provide insights to the team.
  • Be the trusted advisor in strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives. You will work side-by-side with your stakeholders to deliver the most optimal purchases.
  • Drive cost reduction and compliance, make clear recommendations for overall cost improvement and develop strategies to achieve quantifiable savings.
  • Guide commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance.
  • Guarantee appropriate communication, reporting and cooperation with all stakeholders.
  • Gain Category Expertise – understand the commodity, spend and the market trends.
  • Request quotations, select suppliers and negotiate the purchasing of products and services to ensure that the best possible terms and conditions are contracted for the organization regarding price, quality and delivery times.
  • Follow up on commercial opportunities to ensure that the cost efficiency of the purchasing processes are permanently improved.


Your profile:

You’re driven to perform at the highest level possible. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (preferred Finance, Economics, Supply Chain/Procurement or Business).
  • 3 years professional experience in a multi divisions procurement environment with proven competence in the management of strategic procurement projects.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A good knowledge of SAP or other ERP.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Pro – active approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently while having strong teamwork skills.
